The kite school, situated at RIU Resort on the edge of the kite lagoon is the only fixed school at Le Morne right on the spot. All our instructors are qualified and insured, speaking English, French, German, and Spanish. The main center for rentals situated on the edge of the lagoon stocks 25 different kite boards, over 80 windsurfing boards, 30 surf boards, 20 Stand Up Paddle Surf boards and the rescue facilties required for this challenging spot. Courses/Instructions
Kite lessons for all levels available in 2 formats:

Semi - Private, Private lessons on three schedules per day 9.30am 12.30 and 2.30pm. Lesson apointments are flexible upon availabilities.



Special lessons also available: freestyle, wave and kids. We recommend private coaching!

Instructor Training Courses also run at certain periods throughout the year.
Equipment
Duotone kites, wings and boards. Your course equipment will be Neo, Evo, Rebel, Unit and Slick from Duotone. All equipment required is supplied for the courses including shoes and wetsuits. It recommended to bring your bathing suit and towel, sunglasses and sun cream of course.
Best Season
Kitesurfing is possible almost all year round. with best winds between April and December.
In case the wind direction changes we offer Boat excursions and lessons in other locations around Le Morne.

Wind/Weather
The spot benefits from a Sout East trade wind which blows between 18 and 25 knots over a perfect standing depth teaching area.

In winter (July and August) the winds can be stronger and the temperature drops to around 22 degrees with a water temperature of approx 24. In winter its best to wear a wetsuit so if you are already at the level to rent although there are wetsuits available you will always be more comfortable in your own personal suit.
