WHY BORACAY?
Boracay is one of the top destinations for tranquility, relaxation and nightlife. Doesn’t that sound good after a day of kiteboarding? Best of all, there’s no need to wait until summer to kiteboard. KITE CONDITIONS IN BORACAY
Escape to this small island located in South East Asia in the Philippines where its reef-protected waters make this the ideal spot to kiteboard. From November through April, the winds range from 15-25 knots and even more than 30 knots at times. During this season as the locals call it the “Amihan,” you can take kitesurf lessons or catch the wind to freestyle all day long.
For rest of the year, the wind comes from the other direction. Boracay has two distinct seasons. The Amihan is the most optimal for kiting. In the other season, Habagat, the wind literally changes direction overnight. You can kite most days during this season too but it is quite a bit warmer and is subject to tropical storms.
