IKO Meets With Examiners in Europe to Tackle Issues And Progress Forward For its Members
28 Nov 2013
The IKO met with 15 European Examiners in June at a conference in Tarifa, Spain that the IKO is calling, EEG, which stands for European Examiners Gathering. This conference was an opportunity for the IKO to identify current issues, explore valuable new ideas and present the IKO’s background and future goals.
“The EEG has been extremely productive, and will help the IKO progress forward,” said Frederic Bene, CEO and cofounder of the IKO. “This conference is only part of a continuous process whereby feedback and communication between Examiners from all over the world and the IKO become the essential element to IKO’s future progression.”
MOVING IKO FORWARD
“To move IKO forward, we have to ensure that we have a common base, and that all parts of the IKO machine are coordinated,” emphasized Frederic Bene. “We also need to ensure there is a message of quality through our words and actions. The quality of the IKO starts with the training team and spreads outward throughout the network. This is the foundation from where we grow, and it is the foundation by which all future programs will be based.”
IKO was pleased to see such synergy between Examiners and Training Masters because one of IKO’s short-term goals is to have Training Masters working closer together on updates within the Training Department.
From this conference, the IKO has set an action plan in motion to forwardly progress tasks and projects for the greater good of all of IKO members. Many priorities have been re-aligned based on the feedback from this EEG.
EEG WAS SUCCESSFUL and will help the IKO move forward. More Examiner gatherings will be set up to ensure we are getting the best information from the most experienced persons in the kiteboarding industry. The IKO does this to better serve all of its members and to provide them the best value.
