IKO Launches National Advisory Committees to Establish Local Presence
24 Apr 2013
Thanks to its comprehensive quality training programs and extensive kiteboarding network of professionals, the IKO is recognized as the leading training organization worldwide. However, IKO member qualifications and international recognition are challenged in some territories at the local levels.
In order to reinforce a local presence in these countries and to address local issues, IKO is convening together professionals to participate in one of IKO’s National Advisory Committees (NAC).
The opportunity to be on a committee is now open for a limited time to any and all local IKO Pro Members; Instructors and School Owners or Managers that want to be part of an active IKO NAC.
The NAC consists of 3 active members per local area, who are selected by the staff working at the IKO headquarters.
The primary goals and objectives of an IKO NAC are:
-
Represent the interests of IKO Members working in a specific territory.
-
Work for the benefit of IKO Members.
-
Enforce status and position of IKO Members.
-
Establish relations with government authorities to get IKO locally recognized.
-
Promote and develop IKO Programs.
-
Organize annual IKO Member meetings
-
Foster communication between IKO Local and National Members.
The NAC works in close collaboration to and is sustained by the IKO leadership in order to report and bring quality decisions to any local actions.
If you are interested in becoming a member of an IKO NAC in your local area, and feel you have the ability to help and develop committee actions, please send your letter of interest to [email protected].
